The Duchess stammered, her mind racing to connect the dots.

Finally, she mustered up the courage to speak again.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" she demanded, her voice filled with a mix of fear.

King Arthur found her reaction strange. Why did she think he was targeting her and not people randomly? As he thought about it, he found it really strange.

Morgana's spell had worked on everyone it was intended for, except for four people. It was as if someone had intentionally interfered with her spell to make sure that these four stayed behind.

Since Merlin was already dead, the only other person who could do something like that was Raven. It made sense for him to keep Duke Ashborn behind. But why would he keep Duke Leon, Duchess Cynthia and her daughter behind?

Amongst the four people who stayed behind, the worst relationship Raven had was with Duke Ashborn, yet he first went for Cynthia. Why? He didn't understand.
