Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Wrong place at right time

Seeing the aura storm advancing towards the Palace, Merlin's expressions went grim. He hadn't healed completely yet. He wasn't even sure if he could protect the entire mansion in his current condition.

If he could cast a small and condensed barrier around him, he could at least protect himself. But once the barrier was spread out to such a large area, it became much less effective.

He was sure that there was no way for him to protect the palace. At best, he could only protect himself.

In any case, it knew that it was a wise choice to save his own life as this was the only thing he could save with certainly. He knew that this was the right choice. He couldn't let emotions sway him.

However, for some reason, he made a completely different decision as he stood up.

He knew he was going to regret this decision as this was no different than dying with everyone inside the palace. But still, he felt a strange sense of calmness.
