Chapter 167: Unwanted Children

In the early hours of the morning after a night of sleeping in his arms, Alonso slipped out of bed quietly, leaving Natalie to sleep on. She lingered under the covers until she felt ready to start her day. With a stretch and a yawn, she finally decided it was time to get up.

Sauntering into the dressing room, she grabbed a simple jogging outfit, then put it on and glanced at herself in the mirror. She ran a comb through her hair, trying to tame any stray strands, and finished the simple look with a quick layer of mascara.

"I'm good to go."

She was deciding on a course of action for the day when a knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.

"May I come in?"

"...Sure?"

Natalie was taken aback when Alejandro strode in dressed in a formal suit that seemed out of place for the early summer weather. The heavy bags under his eyes suggested a night of restless sleep or none at all.

"Good morning."
