Chapter 49: Thrill Of Hunt

Asher's words entered the knight's ears, before the sword slid out of his body.

~SLICK~

Blood spewed out of the man's chest, for a moment before the sword was stabbed back in.

~SPLICK~

This time though, Asher did it a lot more skillfully, keeping Beryl's words in his mind.

'Strike true…' Asher recalled.

The sword now pierced in an upward angle unlike the straight one from before. The knights all had a heart protecting plate, on their chest, thus stabbing straight usually sent it though the bottom part of the lungs. But by stabbing it diagonally, Asher went from the man's stomach, and into his heart.

"GAH… Bleigh!" The man vomited a mouthful of blood.

Asher gazed into the man's eyes, watching his life slipping by bit by bit, until finally he was dead.
