Ava jumped in excitement because she had just been declared the winner. She didn't even pay attention to Elvin as she ran up to Lucian, whose eyes weren't directed toward her.

Seeing how serious-looking he was, Ava realized there was something wrong happening right now.

"Luci? Everything's alright?"

'Did I do something wrong?' She thought, worried that Lucian might be angry at her for who knows why.

Then, Lucian, who still hadn't looked down once, left Ava behind as he went up to Elvin. There was clearly something wrong with him, and he had seen it instantly.

'His bright appearance…that confidence. It all disappeared the moment he lost.'

He was probably finding this whole thing unfair, and everyone knew that it was. But that was simply how things were in life. Those with connections would always come out on top.

Still, Lucian ran up to Elvin and tapped on his shoulder.
