Chapter 85: 85 - Zombie

"Argh, where am I?" Lucian slowly muttered as he could feel himself being in extreme pain around his chest area.

He opened his eyes, unable to see anything because of the strong light that was pointed in his direction. However, he was able to hear a faint shout from his surroundings. It sounded like someone was trying to call others.

'Right? My core…what happened to it?' Lucian thought as he tried to look at his chest. He had vague memories of what happened; he remembered seeing some sort of black energy, but that was the last thing he remembered.

"Lucian? Can you hear me?" A loud feminine shouted as she looked at Lucian.

Lucian was surprised by that voice as he finally diverted his attention away from his chest, looking at everyone around him. He could see Ariel, Alex, and… there was someone missing. Lucian couldn't see Ava, which was quite weird since she would have probably been the happiest to see him wake up.

But then he realized where she was.
