Chapter 43: Ambush

"Are you sure? My men see nothing." the leader asked David.

Noticing the abrupt slowing down of the carriage, the assassins leapt into action. The archers shot mana-induced arrows towards the carriage, swiftly intercepted by David's death bolts.

"We're under attack! Adjust the formation!" the leader bellowed, prompting the merchant agency members to arm themselves. "Players, protect our goods and the VIP!" he commanded. The urgent call to action echoed through the group as they readied for the impending confrontation.

At that moment, a flurry of arrows were shot towards the carriage. Still, Dobre leapt, intercepting the arrows with his gauntlets. Several assassins revealed themselves in the bushes, heading straight for the goods, but were stopped by the other players and armed members of the agency.

"David, you protect the VIP," the leader commanded before charging towards the assassins.
