Dungeon dive I

Isn't it too early? It's only been one day since we awakened, and we're already being asked to enter dungeons. Bullshit," a student retorted angrily, slamming his fist on the table before him.

Despite his angry tone, it was clear that he had made the statement out of fear. After all, with exposure to the Internet, it was not hard for people to discover the unpredictability and dangers of a dungeon.

With this, individuals saw dungeons as a combination of heaven and hell, as dungeons proposed generous rewards despite the deadly risks.

The other students replied in sync, letting out their own words as they expressed their dissatisfaction. Amongst the bombardment of words, Amelia sighed, understanding their plight and knowing the dangers a dungeon proposed.

But did it give them the right to disrespect her by creating a nuisance in her class? Under the continuous bantering of the students, Amelia's patience grew thin, her emotions becoming unstable as they transitioned between sympathy and anger. She finally made her decision, leaning towards disciplining them.

"Silence!" she let out almost like a demonic roar that echoed through the classroom.

Following her command a demonic aura suddenly descended on the entire classroom. The moment the aura descended, the classroom suddenly became as silent as a graveyard.

Fear suddenly enveloped the students, bringing paralysis as they froze like statues, their eyes widened, their hearts pounding out of their chests. At that moment, the students realized why she had gained the title of Blood Queen.

The stench of blood suddenly filled the class like a tsunami wave, causing the students to unconsciously hold their breaths. Amelia, who was known as the Blood Queen, showed her true side.

She was known as a battle maniac who enjoyed picking fights everywhere she went, but she had originally managed to suppress them. Not only that, she was known for her unstable emotions, easily changing with the slightest provocation.

This all began when she had awakened the Blood Queen system, ranked at platinum. She quickly grew popular with this, but not only did she awaken a platinum-ranked system, she was exceptionally gifted when it came to mana manipulation, which gained her the title of genius. With this, rumors had been raveled stating she could rival a diamond-ranked system holder.

"Is this killing intent? But why am I unaffected?" Allen questioned, confused by the scene that occurred before him.

He had originally felt fear the moment the aura descended on the class, but almost immediately, the fear disappeared, stunning him as he wondered how he was unaffected.

Jackie, who had originally been able to resist for a few seconds, finally succumbed to fear. He fell to his knees with his eyes widened in shock as he was unable to comprehend the power gap between him and the teacher before him.

Allen, feeling a bit worried for Jackie, got closer before he placed his hands on Jackie's shoulder with the intent to shield him. He followed his instincts, and it seemed like his attempts had succeeded. Jackie suddenly took in a large gulp of air in relief.

"Are you okay?" Allen asked worriedly, his concern visible.

"I'm alright." He stood to his feet with Allen's help, wondering how he had miraculously recovered from his initial paralysis.

Amelia, at that moment, glanced at the two who remained standing. She widened her eyes as she suddenly realized they were unaffected by her killing intent. Her pride surged, unwilling to lose face to the duo before her.

Meanwhile, in the academy, in an intricately designed office, a man with white hair and a beard sat behind a pile of paperwork with a dull expression. He sighed, sensing a familiar aura.

"Amelia and her unstable emotions... Should I intervene?" he questioned, but at the moment, he was too preoccupied to waste time on matters he considered unnecessary. Ignoring Amelia, he buried himself back into his paperwork.

Amelia converged the aura she had sent in a widespread direction, forcefully directing it towards Allen and Jackie. But the moment she took such drastic action, she was met with resistance.

The defensive aura surrounding Allen began to take form, though it was distorted and unstable, Amelia was able to discern the figure of a draconic being similar to the one that resisted her Eye of Truth.

"Tch! I won't lose this time around," she retorted with unwillingness.

She continued directing all her killing intent towards Allen with only one goal: to make him kneel. But do dragons really bow to anyone? In a rageful response, the dragon pushed against all resistance as its form began to solidify.

Amelia's gaze met that of the dragon, and from the gaze, she could deduce pride, arrogance, with a mix of disgust. Her years of experience easily deducing its expression. But yet, it stood on defense almost like it was focused on giving a warning.

"Arrogant motherfucker, how dare you look at me like that," Amelia retorted, pushing all her efforts into the killing intent, alleviating her influence on the other students. All she cared for at the moment was to conquer Allen.

The crimson red dragon replied with greater response, irritated by the insignificant human before it. But all Allen could sense was Amelia, who gave him an intense stare, making him stare back in confusion and akwardness.

The dragon, which was previously on defense, suddenly retaliated, charging at Amelia, who became bewildered by its sudden action.

As it got closer, she instinctively raised her hands in a defensive manner, covering her eyes as she expected an attack. Her aura crumbled like glass as her own fear caused it to falter.

But the expected attack did not arrive, and it was then she realized she had acted out of fear, her eyes widened in disbelief and shock.

"I... lost?,i...felt fear?" she questioned herself. Shame suddenly washed over her. Not only did she lose, she lost to a boy who had only awakened his system for a day. She gritted her teeth. If any other teacher found out about this, she would become a laughingstock, and luckily she discovered her secret was safe.

She had deduced that Allen did not initiate the aura or killing intent intentionally; it was like it was an automatic expression of his system, which made her wonder what Allen's system really was. Her thoughts of Allen were now mixed, whether it was curiosity, anger, she couldn't explain it.

"Just what are you?" Amelia questioned before quickly putting up her usual serious demeanor, unwilling to lose face to the students who had begun to recover.

"I understand that right now many of you are feeling anxious and scared, but I want to remind you of the current state of our cities and the frequent beast tides. Do you truly expect everything to remain normal? We need to push ourselves harder so that we can reach our potential faster. Personally, I believe in each and every one of you to succeed and rise above these harsh challenges," she encouraged with a bit of a smile that seemed to calm the students a little, but most remained calm due to fear.

After her encouraging speech, Amelia began explaining the type of dungeons that existed. The first type of dungeons are enclosed dungeons; this type of dungeons are known to be common.

Enclosed dungeons are usually small in size, possessing cave-like structures. Once entered, one can no longer exit until the dungeon master has been defeated.

The second type of dungeons are known as expansive dungeons. This type of dungeons are large in size, usually the size of a city or sometimes a country.

This type of dungeon could be exited at any moment, granting access to resources in the dungeon. Mainly, expansive dungeons are not meant to be conquered in one attempt. They are also so rare, only three exist in the entire city of Aelysium, with low ranks at that.

"The type of dungeon you would be diving into is an expansive one, filled with wolf-type monsters.

"Also, you must exercise caution when moving about in the dungeon, as the dungeon master, Dark Fang, the Shadow Hunter, is not restricted by territory, meaning it can roam freely."

"It also has the shadow affinity, granting it a set of unpredictable and dangerous skills. If you plan to fight it, it is suicide," she explained. But before she could continue, the bell suddenly rang, interrupting her. The time for the dungeon raid had arrived, with the students gulping as they realized that time had come.

"I have taught you more than enough for you to succeed in the dungeon. Make sure to make me proud," she encouraged, though it seemed she did not put much effort into it.
