Chapter 37: On The Leaderboard

The day passed gruelingly as we continued to murder Zombie after Zombie and beast after beast. We ran into another person, but when he saw how powerful I was, he ran. 

Through the night we killed thousands of Zombies and I let the others consume Mana stones until they were on an equal footing with me. After that, I consumed hundreds more Mana stones. 

We cleared the entire town out that night without struggling. The strongest Zombie was at the Initiation stage, and none had moved beyond that. Their movements were like a slug to me. 

Since we had all become far stronger, things became much faster, and we blasted across the concrete road at the speed of sound. The concrete behind us was shredded by our heavy steps. 

We ran to Houston in the space of an hour. On the road there were several hundred Zombies that we killed, but they were simply weaklings. The Mana their stones gave us was to the point of insignificance.
