Chapter 329: Dreaded to Close His Eyes

The husband and wife sat in silence. Leslie continued to gently wipe Calix's head dry as the man kept mum. Only the faint sounds of their breathing and the towel grazing his hair echoed in the ensuite wardrobe.

"This is better... I think?"

Leslie lowered the towel from Calix's head. She softly ran her fingers through his hair, feeling a slight dampness compared to before.

"It's better," Calix replied, his voice subdued. Blinking, he took the towel from Leslie before grasping her wrists. He pressed his thumbs there, "Don't your wrists and arms hurt?"

"Hehe, not much ah..." Leslie shook her head, laughter rolling out of her mouth, "You know how is it..."

Calix said nothing. He began to massage Leslie's hands, starting from her right one.

"I know you might be hurting but... it felt good when you dried my hair," mumbled Calix, his eyes staring at Leslie's right wrist, "Sorry..."
