The bombshell stunned Xander and Davin while Calix wore the brightest smile on his face. The warm light from the chandelier above cast a glow on his merry countenance.

Pulling himself out of the stupor, Xander sharpened his gaze. His questions imbued with suspicions were directed to his friend, "Calix, has your wife really regained consciousness? You're not trying to pull our legs, huh?"
