Clara reacted as if she had seen a ghost and shunned a good distance from Ethan the moment they were in the room.
She listened to Shirley's wail in disbelief.
"Ethan, you scum. Are you going to let her be like this? You are the infamous simp of the city… ahem, I mean the most loyal man. Why have you suddenly become so cold-blooded and heartless?"
Ethan crossed his legs and leaned against the door casually. He nocked his chin up a little and stared at the woman nonchalantly. "Didn't I just make it very clear that you are my true love? Desolating my true love for the sake of an unworthy old flame is simply not worth it!"
