"Talking"

- Sora's House -

As a massive golden magic circle appears beneath me and my Servants, I take a deep breath and feel my body relax as the forest of dead trees disappears behind a flash of gold to reveal the inside of my house.

Noticing the dirt that we've tracked into the house; I make a mental note to not teleport into the Dungeons from inside.

Don't worry, I'll remind you.

'Thank you, Gaia.' With that, I turn to face my Servants. "One of you clean up the dirt on the floor, the cleaning supplies are in the cupboard under the sink. I need another one of you to gather up the dirty clothes in my closet, and have them washed while the rest of you are to spread out around the house and grounds for guard duty."

Getting seven obedient nods, I wave them off to do their tasks while I head outside the front door and into the courtyard to summon my new Spirits, realizing that they'll likely fill the house with how many of them I can summon now. "[Summon: Spirit]."

Just as I thought, eight golden magic circles appear in front of me, summoning a total of 40 Spirits that take up the entirety of the courtyard. There's now over a dozen deer, foxes, and rabbits made of ethereal golden energy that I can send out into town to keep an eye on things. Since I now have several Servants watching the grounds, I no longer need to keep any Spirits within the walls of my home.

Watching as the large group of Spirits quickly takes off through the elegant front gate, their ethereal bodies allowing them to pass through the thick wood like ghosts, I turn around and head back inside.

Making my way down the hall to the single main bedroom, I walk tiredly into the bathroom and stare at myself in the mirror, taking in the dirt and scratches from the intense Dungeon fighting earlier before I frown at what I'm wearing.

Even though I had said that I didn't want to be a typical anime character and wear my school uniform into battles, that's exactly what I've been doing. The material for the school's uniform was surprisingly made of better material than the clothes you could get at stores, and were slightly more resistant to tearing than anything else I could find.

Which means I'll have to look elsewhere to get something better, because I sure as shit am not going to keep doing this much longer. I look like such a dumbass wearing a school uniform while my Servants all wear black suits and white masks, looking like a yakuza gang or high-profile bodyguards protecting a child.

If I ever want to be taken seriously in this universe, I need to look the part. But how do I about getting better clothes is the question?

I can help with that!

'You can?'

Sure!

Just…don't tell anyone I did it okay?

I'm not exactly supposed to keep giving you things.

'You won't get in trouble, will you?'

I don't think so…

As long as I keep it to minor stuff, it shouldn't be a problem.

Besides, it's my job to help you!

'I…alright. Just as long as nothing bad happens to you, okay? I can't do this without you, and I'd hate to see you get in trouble over me.'

Aww~! You're such a softie!

Now, here you go!

Unlocks - [Profession]

Profession? Well, isn't that interesting. I always did like making things in video games, and the higher levels usually had the strongest gear for your characters. Let's see what my options are…

Choose a Profession:

[Artificer] [Blacksmith] [Clothier] [Cooking] [Potioneer]

I want them…I want all of them, and yet I can only choose one. I can already guess what Blacksmith, Clothier, Cooking, and Potioneer do; but Artificer is a rather vague class considering it usually means different things in different games. 'Gaia?'

Check the Gamer's Manual, silly!

'The Gamer's Manual?'

Yeah!

The black journal thing that's sitting in your inventory!

'Oh…that thing.'

It updates with more information every time you unlock things!

…you forgot about it, didn't you?

-.-

I did. I absolutely did. After reading up about the Race Levels, I threw it into my Inventory figuring that it wasn't going to be useful anymore.

Dummy.

…I deserve that.

Opening up my Inventory, I pull out the Gamer's Manual, noticing that it's gotten heavier with more pages since the last time I looked at it. Flipping through the pages about Race Levels, I find the section about Professions.

Huh. Turns out that Artificer allows me to enchant objects and imbue them with special powers and properties. It's basically what the Biblical God used to make the Sacred Gears, and what was used to create legendary Holy Swords all over the world like Excalibur.

As much as I want the other Professions, the possibility of creating some early-game pseudo-Sacred Gears is too tempting to pass up.

Profession Unlocked:

[Profession: Artificer] - Lvl. 1 (Novice)

Enchant and Imbue objects with unique abilities.

I'll definitely be getting the others once they unlock, because the scrapes and cuts are starting to sting a little bit, and I know that Potioneer will provide me with some form of Healing Potion. 'Gaia, how can I go about unlocking more Professions?'

You need to get your current one to Level 75.

Once you do, it'll let you pick a second one.

Just like with your Class!

'I can pick more than one Class?' I hadn't seen anything that said I could, and the thought of getting the others was getting me really excited now.

Yep!

Awesome! As much as I love my summons, I could really use some offensive attacks beyond just swinging my Holy Swords around. Maybe I'll get lucky and acquire something through the Dungeons, the higher-level ones that I can't even see yet must have some pretty good rewards.
