Chapter 47: Beginning

As Alex rested in a luxurious room provided by Emma in the City Lord Palace, he absorbed the information he gained from his conversation with her along the way.

Sun City, a First-tier city, ranked second only to the Imperial City of the Blazing Sun Empire. Emma's father held the esteemed position of City Lord and has reached Martial ascendant Peak stage and is only step away from reaching Soul resonance stage.

Despite his curiosity, Alex refrained from probing too deeply, wary of arousing suspicion especially from Allen. However, his contemplation was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Please come in," he welcomed.

The door creaked open, revealing Emma, her face veiled.

She gracefully took a seat and gestured for Alex to do the same.

Alex sat at the opposite side of Emma observing her closely, sensing an underlying purpose in her actions from the moment he stepped into her carriage.
