Third Pov
It was just a day like any other in Gotham. Gang fights, robberies, arson, and in the midst of all that, Batman.
Batman and Robin were once again running around the city, disarming all the bombs Bane had hidden, before bringing him to Arkham Asylum for the fourth time this week when another urgent news came from the coms.
"Master Bruce, there has been a series of break-ins in several stores over the last two hours. The footage shows that all the things stolen can be made into several bombs. "
"Who is it this time, Alfred?"
"Unknow, sir. The person in question is not someone we have ever encountered and I have been unable to find any information about him whatsoever."
"No records? Keep searching, I need to know who I'm dealing with"
"I will, I might not have found any information about this person but I was able to limit the area of possible hideouts, I'm sending them to you now"
And so began the search for another new villain with unknown motives.
"Alfred, this hideout has signs of recent use and there are leftover chemicals all over the floor. Check the cameras for anyone making a run for, take into account that he is most likely not on foot as he needs to transport the bombs"
"Sir, the footage shows that a stolen black Jeep left the scene just three minutes ago, you might still be able to catch up"
"Alright, Robin, to the Batmobile" [Insert meme here]
After a while of chase, Batman and Robin arrived at a hospital.
"Be careful, sir. This person appears to be very skilled in counter surveillance and I have yet to find any data on him, it's like he never existed in the first place"
When the two entered the Hospital, they were immediately greeted by the sickening smell of death and the sight of over a dozen hospital staff and patients dead on the floor.
Seeing the bomb in the middle of the lobby, batman immediately got to work.
"Robin, with the number of materials stolen, it's unlikely that he made only one bomb, search the vicinity while I defuse this bomb"
The defusing of the first bomb was suspiciously easy, almost like it was meant to be defused but he couldn't risk not defusing it. Robin still hadn't sent any word of a second bomb, so he gritted his teeth and cut the last wire.
*BOOM*
An explosion went off deeper inside the hospital.
"Robin! Are you alright?!"
No answer. Batman rushed in the direction of where Robin had gone off.
Not far away the colorful boy lay unconscious with heavy burns and his costume torn apart but alive, barely.
Feeling his pulse, the bat sighed in relive but before he could pick him up and carry him away for medical attention, the second bomb went off.
*Boom*
He managed to shield himself and Robin with his cape just in time before they were hit by the flames but the shockwave still gave slight internal bleeding.
The moment the flames receded just a little, he picked the boy up and ran out, fearing another bomb going off.
When he arrived at the Batmobile and carefully put the boy into the back seat, he saw the person that caused all this not far away behind a window of an apartment he was certain did not belong to him, with a box of popcorn in his hands, watching them.
He was angry but it was not time to let emotions get the better of him, Robin needed urgent medical attention, he could go after the cause later when he was o longer in mortal danger.
Talex Pov
I watched the Batmobile speed off with satisfaction. The moment I left the scene, I broke into a nearby home that had a good view of the spectacle and took a quick shower to get rid of all the sewer stuff.
I wasn't going to use such underhanded means for long, crawling through sewers to hide from cameras was not really my style. Although I was not going to break my self-imposed rule of the average human, that did not prevent me from gaining the advantage with external factors.
It was time for me to take my pet out for a walk and put my armor which has been evolving for millions of years now to good use.
My armor had been in its ring from since the moment it got this form and I never took the ring off, not in my true form nor in this human form. My two-legged space lizard pet could arrive anywhere by tearing up space, so I could just call it whenever I felt like it.
I will prove that my pet is the strongest and the best girl, fuck Krypto and any other pet, mine is the best.
