"Meria, are you alright? You look a little distracted ever since we stepped out of the imperial palace. Did something happen in there?"

Eric asked as soon as they were in the carriage.

Since they were alone again, asking personal questions like these from Meria.

"Hmm, I don't know what I feel right now. I thought I was all right, but I am unsure now. Also, I am sure that I've seen the Western king before, but I cannot remember where."

Meria tried to put more pressure on his mind to recall, but he could not remember anything.

"Your mind must be playing tricks on you. This was the first time the Western emperor came out of his territory. Maybe you are feeling the familiarity because you both are omegas?"

Eric asked, but that felt like there needed to be a better answer to Meria.

His instincts told him it was not the case, but Meria could not prove otherwise.
