"General Meria, I will ask you one last time before you head in. Is this really what you want? There will be no going back for you once the emperor bites you."

The Saintess asked with a clear voice. 

The concern in Eric's voice made Meria feel better, but he also knew he could not keep running away from the emperor.

"It is alright. I will ensure no regrets are left, even if the emperor bit me. I have no intention of holding the incomplete bond over his head."

Meria promised before he entered the room.

Eric's stare made Meria feel he was missing the point, but Meria did not care. 

He knew he needed to help the emperor down and regard him as the 'number one' right now.

The door had not even closed behind his back properly when Meria felt someone sniffing his scent to get more out of him.

"Meria, it hurts. Please, help me out."

The emperor recognised Meria's scent before he looked at Meria with his big and teary eyes.
