"Eric, wake up. This is an emergency. Do you not feel the flow of power changing in the world? You need to go and help before anything else happens."

The Saintess pulled his covers over his head when he heard that annoying voice calling out to him.

The goddess was a drama queen who liked to present herself at the worst time possible, and her 'emergencies' were never worth her time.

The last time the goddess had an 'emergency,' it had been her favorite tree wilting away because a human overwatered it.

He did not want to disturb his sleep too much.

"Can't this wait for the morning? I am still too tired from dealing with your mess and-"

A small quake hit him, causing Eric to open his eyes instantly.

That flow of energy was abnormal, but it felt familiar.

"Is that…why is the lord of death doing in the human world? Do the laws even permit that?"

Eric felt his head hurt as soon as he noticed this abnormality.
