Chapter 70: The Siege of Astoria

As the first light of dawn painted the sky, the leader of the werewolves emerged from the horde once more, his eyes ablaze with fury and impatience, he demanded to know if the Lord had found the intruder they sought.

"Have you found the bastard yet?" the werewolf leader growled, his voice reverberating with menace.

Lord Astro, standing resolute on the walls, met the werewolf's gaze. "We have not found him," he replied evenly, "and we are not responsible for what has transpired."

The werewolf, its patience worn thin, let out a furious roar. "Enough talk! The time for words is over! Attack!" With that command, the horde of werewolves surged forward, their primal aggression driving them toward the city walls.
