Shut Up, I Never Said That!

Evan was frustrated, wondering where the promised powerful Blood Magic was, or had he taken the potion wrong?

Suddenly, he remembered receiving a system notification when drawing blood but hadn't checked it due to Professor McGonagall's arrival.

Upon opening it, Evan found a task that almost made him curse out loud.

**Task: Promise of Revenge**

**Objective: Kill Quirrell**

**Description: Cecilia was an adult female unicorn who roamed the depths of the Forbidden Forest freely and sacredly until one day she was killed by an evil wizard. In her pain and despair, you comforted her and solemnly promised to avenge her someday.**

**Note: You need to fulfill your promise to gain Cecilia's approval. Until then, she will opt to observe rather than assist you.**

Evan was dumbfounded. When had he ever promised to avenge Cecilia?

He distinctly remembered saying...

**"Your enemy probably won't live much longer... Rest in peace.."**

This was merely stating a fact, with no promise implied... How did it get twisted like this?

Evan yelled in his mind, demanding the system come out and explain!

However, the aloof system remained silent.

"Norbert, I shouldn't have complained about your blood magic being too weak." Evan sighed helplessly, finding himself unexpectedly in trouble, but it was already too late for regrets.

If there was no Blood Magic, so be it. Who knew if it was as powerful as described in "Bloodline Origins"? For all he knew, it could be weak.

Trying to find a silver lining, Evan thought about the benefits he had gained. At least his magic had significantly increased, along with his proficiency in various spells.

More importantly, there was no punishment for not completing the system's task. Perhaps Quirrell would die from his injuries soon, automatically completing the task.

After all, it could be considered an indirect action of his own.

Having adjusted his emotions, Evan left the potion storage room and re-entered the training area through the Room of Requirement.

He needed time to master his suddenly increased strength to avoid misjudgments during real battles.

By the time Evan returned to his dormitory, dawn had broken. After practicing all night and with no rest, he realized he had to attend classes.

Dragging his tired body, Evan ate breakfast in the Great Hall, noticing something odd: wherever he went, people stared.

At first, Evan thought it was due to the previous day's events, but he quickly realized something was off, even Harry and Ron looked at him strangely.

"What's with you guys staring at me?" Evan finally asked, unable to bear it anymore.

"You seem different from yesterday," Ron finally spoke what had been on his mind for a while, with Harry nodding in agreement.

They couldn't understand how Evan had changed so much overnight.

Evan was initially shocked, fearing he had turned into some half-unicorn creature. He quickly transfigured an empty plate into a square mirror to check.

Relieved upon seeing his reflection, Evan sighed. His appearance remained the same, albeit with slightly softer skin and a faint blue glow of magic in his eyes. Most notably, his aura had changed, radiating an inviting warmth, almost elf-like, making even him want to get closer.

"Evan, your Transfiguration has improved," Hermione said as she sat down with a book, admiring the mirror on the table.

"Of course, you also look prettier, and a bit taller..."

"I'd be happier if you didn't describe me as 'prettier'," Evan waved his wand, turning the mirror back, rolling his eyes.

Evan suspected this was due to inheriting the unicorn's affinity talent, though he wondered why it didn't show up in the system panel.

This was a powerful ability, but Evan was troubled by the sudden and noticeable change. He was worried Dumbledore might notice something.

"Did you use some potion? Is it the legendary Amortentia?" Ron asked curiously.

"No one uses Amortentia on themselves, and it couldn't possibly have this effect," Hermione dismissed Ron's idea but still looked eagerly at Evan, obviously wanting to know as well.

"I'm not sure, maybe I just grew a bit faster last night, you know, it's a time of rapid growth at our age," Evan said vaguely.

Ron and the others were speechless. They were all about the same age, but why hadn't they grown like that?

Evan saw their disbelief but didn't explain further. He wasn't planning to reveal the Blood Fusion potion.

Firstly, collecting the ingredients was a bit unscrupulous. If Snape found out he had stolen his potions, who knows what he might do.

Secondly, the success rate of blood fusion wasn't stable. Evan wasn't even sure the system-provided potion recipe would guarantee success, let alone suggest others try it.

As they chatted, a loud, distinctive voice came from the Slytherin table.

"I don't think Dumbledore will stay in the school much longer. I sent a letter home last night. My father was so scared when he heard there was a dragon at Hogwarts he contacted the Minister of Magic immediately. Inspectors are supposed to arrive this evening!"

Evan turned to see Malfoy flaunting a letter.

"Malfoy!" Harry stood up, wishing he could rush over and punch him.

Malfoy, noticing Harry, smirked and taunted, "Look, it's Potter. Without Dumbledore, no one will protect you."

"I didn't know your father was so easily scared. Just hearing about a dragon at Hogwarts frightened him. According to Seamus, I even flew it around," Evan said coolly.

Malfoy's face turned red, and he struggled to retort, but for some reason, he found it hard to speak against Evan, almost wanting to compliment him instead.

"My father is just concerned about me!" Malfoy managed to squeeze out the words before hastily moving away, feeling as if he'd been enchanted by Evan.
