Chapter 4: Chapter 4"Fishing Expedition and Unexpected Encounters: Between Hope and Tasting the Unusual"

Jacob and Adam entered, greeted us, and sat on our side. We started talking for a while. After a moment, I asked them, "Jacob, Adam, I have a suggestion for you. Since Ali has left, I thought, why not take his place and pay the rent. I asked Brad, and he agreed; I just need your approval." They didn't take long to think. Jacob laughed and said, "Why not? There's no one better than you to fill Ali's spot; you're our friend, not a stranger. Welcome with us mickey ." I looked at Adam, awaiting his response. He said, "Welcome aboard. You know what's happening now." I looked puzzled and asked, "What? What's happening?" They all shouted simultaneously, "We're throwing a party in honor of our new companion!" But I interrupted their excitement and said, "But there's a problem. Currently, I don't have a stable job. I just want you to bear with me until I gather some money." Brad approached me, slapped the back of my head, and said, "We told you, you fool, that we'll help you settle down. We won't pressure you to bring money tomorrow. Take your time, and now let's celebrate." I felt relieved after everyone's approval, as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Thank God, I've solved the housing issue. Now, I just need to go fishing to earn some money. Before I could finish my thoughts, the guys interrupted me, bringing beer bottles and sweets from the fridge, starting the celebration. We had a great time with smoking, dancing, laughing, and food. After a while of fun, I wanted to left to my room, but they didn't want me to go. Jacob, in a drunken state, started yelling, "Come on, man, we're celebrating you, and you're leaving us." I told them I had work tomorrow and had to go. After some lengthy arguments, I left them and entered my room. I set the alarm, lay on the bed, and fell asleep from exhaustion.

The phone rang at 6 in the morning, waking me up. As I opened the room door, I saw the guys unconscious, bottles and cigars scattered around, and Jacob sleeping on Brad – a funny sight. I took a picture for memories. Then, I went to the bathroom, washed my face, had breakfast, packed my gear, and left the house. Passing by the chicken seller, I bought chicken intestines. I continued my way to the sea, went to my designated spot, sat down, set up the fishing rod, played some music, and waited. After a while, the rod moved, and I started pulling. Due to the intense weight, I thought I had caught a big fish, but it turned out to be just a shoe – what a disappointment. "I re-baited the hook, but luckily, it slipped from my hands into the water. I repeated the process, and after a few moments, the rod started moving. I pulled it out, only to find a single sardine. After that catch, the rod remained motionless for a long time. I even lost hope and decided to leave. Just as I was about to get up to gather my gear, the rod started moving again. I rushed; the thing I was pulling was heavy. I began to reel it in and pulled out a fish. What can I say? It was the first time I had seen a fish of this kind in my life. I didn't know its name, but it had a beautiful color that caught the eye. What happiness! In the moment I had lost hope, this fish appeared. I re-baited the hook, cast it again, and started waiting once more. It didn't take long for the rod to start moving again. I stood up, started pulling, and pulled out the same type of fish. The fishing resumed, and I caught 12 fish of the same kind. I cut a bit of the line, tied them, and hung them. I said to myself, 'This fish is not for sale; I'll cook and taste it, and if I like it, I'll come back tomorrow, catch more, and sell them.'" I gathered my gear and contemplated leaving. On my way back, walking by the seaside, the place was empty. Then, after a moment, I saw two girls approaching, engaged in sports. They were exceptionally beautiful, yet despite that, I wasn't interested. The girls passed by me, and then one of them approached and said, "Hello, did you catch this fish?" I looked at her with surprise at this seemingly silly question and replied...
