Chapter 16: 16
Both groups were staring across from one another, waiting on the first move to be made.
"Leonardo, prepare the anti-monsters for the Devils." Cao Cao ordered.
Removing his hood, Leonardo held out his hand as a pink aura surrounded him. His shadow expanded as Leonardo used his sacred gear Annihilation Maker to summon anti-monsters per Cao Cao's command.
A large number of anti-monsters rose from the ground.
"So that's the Annihilation Maker, one of the Longinus." Rias commented.
"Correct, so long the user focuses intently, the Longinus is capable of creating any type of monster." Cao Cao explained.
"I see, well it's understandable that it's rumored to be able to destroy the world. And to think it's in the hands of your group. But it's easy to tell that the true power of Annihilation Maker has yet to be mastered. Otherwise it'd be much more effective for you to have him create monsters powerful enough to cause significant damage to either of the three powers." Rias concluded casually.
"Impressive, it is as you said Chaos Creator. This kid Leonardo still hasn't matured. Though, he does excel at one thing." Cao Cao said.
One of the anti-monsters charged up and fired an attack that destroyed some of the land behind Rias' group.
"Oh? A light based attack?" Shuri noted, understanding what Cao Cao is hinting at.
"Leonardo has the ability to create monsters that target their opponent's weaknesses. He specializes in creating anti-monsters." Cao Cao said as several anti-monsters unleashed a rapid fire of light-based attacks towards the Gremory group.
Kuroka created a wide defensive barrier that easily fended off the attacks of the anti-monsters.
Shirone ran towards 3 of them and effortlessly took each anti-monster out one by one with one punch.
Even without her Rook piece, Shirone's physical strength was in another league. It's all thanks to her training with Rias. "No threat to us at all, just very weak."
"Ara~ you sound a bit disappointed, Shirone-chan." Shuri released several, perfectly controlled streaks of Holy Lightning that wiped out any anti-monster on contact.
Seeing Shuri and Shirone utterly destroying the monsters, Gabriel simply just watched until it was time for her to make a move. There was no reason to add to what was already unnecessary overkill.
Rias used her Ki to fly toward and hover over Cao Cao. "Well Cao Cao, let's see what the leader of Hero Faction is capable of. I hope that sacred gear of yours isn't just for show."
While she could defend against the True Longinus with her bare hands without taking any damage. Rias decided against it, wanting to have fun and flaunt a bit.
So she created a spear made of one of the many magics she recreated for herself. The spear that appeared in her right hand was made out of White Dragon Slayer Magic.
Rias noted that while powerful, most dragon slaying abilities, excluding Samael, in the DxD universe usually involve weapons being used. She found it boring compared to how dragon slaying magic is in the Fairy Tail universe.
Thus led to her recreating Dragon Slaying Magic from Fairy Tail.
Cao Cao's eyes widened in slight shock, he could feel that Rias' spear is made up of a different type of Dragon Slaying Magic. He can feel the draconic energy mixed in with Holy Power.
Seeing his expression, Rias smirked. "Impressed?"
"…A bit, I'll admit." Cao Cao shrugged. "I had no idea Devils could use pure Holy Power in such a way."
Both dashed towards each other at high speeds and clashed, the collision of their spears were causing shockwaves and lightning to generate.
"I hope you realize that challenging me in tantamount committing suicide in normal instances." Rias said.
"Well considering the purpose behind our Hero Faction, we were bound to cross paths eventually." Cao Cao replied.
They were at a stalemate in their clash.
"Yeah, you guys are quite the ambitious bunch. Most would declare you as foolish humans who are way in over their heads." Rias told him.
"I don't care what those people think." Cao Cao chuckled. "I shall crush the gods myself to achieve my goals."
Both of them broke apart from their stalemate as Rias came down to the ground taking a swing at Cao Cao. He dodged it and another swing from his opponent and slashed his True Longinus. Which clashed with Rias' holy spear. He took a second wipe, she avoided it lazily and jumped high into the air.
Cao Cao jumped too and both him and Rias clashed their spears against each other several more times while flying. Neither one of them were serious by any means. Cao Cao was testing the water while Rias was having fun.
Kuroka casually took out three random girls with weapons, who were running towards her in an attempt to attack her with senjutsu aura bullets. She had a smirk on her face while doing so.
Gabriel, who was standing next to the Sage Nekoshou said. "You know, I haven't really done anything this entire battle."
"Nya~ there's honestly no need, it's already overkill and no one from our side is close to being serious. Hell, outside of that guy Cao Cao, the others on his side hardly have made a move." Kuroka replied.
"Actually it seems one of them is walking towards us now." Gabriel had her gaze on the mist.
"So that's the so-called Young Red Queen of Chao. I must say by seeing her strength in person, the rumors of her power do her no real justice. For someone as young as her, it's truly incredible." Siegfried revealed himself.
"Who the hell are you?" Shirone asked.
"Pleased to meet you all, members of the Gremory peerage. My allies call me Siegfried." Siegfried introduced himself with a smirk.
