Receiving the items he requested from the servant, Han Xuelian nodded gratefully and gestured for him and the remaining servants to vacate the Hall. He placed the barf of steaming water mixed with herbal leaves near Chi Cheng's legs.

"Trust in a man who wants to kill me?" Han Xuelian cackled, slipping a hand up Chi Cheng's ankle to fold up his pants. As usual, his fingertips were icy but out of consideration, he tempered his body's temperature so that his hands would warm up. "I would have to understand the reason he desires my death first."

Chi Cheng bit his lower lip, bringing a hand to cover his mouth as the Grandmaster's calloused fingers and hand enclosed around his leg, pushing up the pants carefully.

"After knowing his reason, would you trust him?" Chi Cheng posed the question again, determined to elicit an answer from the Grandmaster.
