Chapter 43: Expelled

Feng Yuxian approached the arena in the training courtyard. Sword clutched firmly in his right hand, he turned a blind eye to the cheers and shouts from his fellow clansmen.

Bowing to Chi Weiran as he entered, he clicked his tongue irritably at his opponent's smug expression. He pledged to himself that he would emerge victorious from the match for he shared no friendship with Chi Weiran.

They were simply forced to be paired together by the Grandmaster's will.

"Not crying today, Chi Weiran?" Feng Yuxian sneered, cockily raising an eyebrow. "Need your brother to help you hold your sword?"

"That's funny coming from someone who's riding on the points 𝐼 accumulated to enter this round," Chi Weiran countered, receiving a scowl in response.

Paying no heed to Feng Yuxian's taunts, Chi Weiran scoured the crowds for his brother. Eventually, his eyes settled on the Grandmaster, unfazed to find his brother seated beside him.
