Without surprise, Sam got into the car.

He had thought Angel's text was a joke, but now it seemed she wasn't kidding at all.

Even Celeste was there.

Despite her usually gentle smile, nobody wanted to experience her anger. Everyone knew that when this woman showed any emotion other than her smile, things could get pretty nasty.

When Sam got into the car, he noticed something slightly awkward.

The issue was with the seating.

But since he was the last one to get in, he naturally ended up sitting on the outer side, with Celeste in the middle.

Sam just glanced briefly and then, pretending nothing was amiss, smiled and said, "Why, did Godmother make a special trip here?"
