Chapter 290: Quantum

They exchanged a glance and fell into silence.

Another person who sensed something was wrong was Lorna.

The moment time resumed, she turned to look at Zane.

Zane was still sitting on the throne of bones, and his aura hadn't changed at all.

Yet Lorna had a strange feeling that Zane had gone to a place she didn't know.

The next moment, she calmly turned her head back, continuing to vigilantly observe the people in the audience, quietly suppressing the worry in her heart.

Until Zane woke up, she was the pillar of this family.

If she lost her composure, everyone would panic.

On the other side of the door, Zane found himself once again on the divine path he had walked when he became a god.

The difference was that the endpoint of his last journey was now the starting point of this one.

Zane turned and saw his projection standing on the side of the divine path.

Like countless other divine shadows, it stood there silently as an observer, waiting for the next genius to step onto the godly road.

Eternal and unchanging!

Zane smiled slightly, a determined glint flashing in his eyes.

In the next moment, he took a step forward.

With one step, the world shifted.

It was as though Zane had crossed a barrier into an unknown space, filled with countless particles, flowing and interchanging as if they had life.

Seeing this strange scene, Zane suddenly felt a sense of familiarity.

"Is this the quantum realm from Ant-Man?" Zane wondered.

Before Zane could further observe this infinitely beautiful and ever-changing space, the singularity deep within his divine core suddenly began to stir uneasily.

As the singularity trembled, Zane's entire soul began to shake.

The particles in the quantum space, as if sensing some irresistible attraction, surged wildly toward Zane's soul.

When the singularity's tremors reached their peak, it suddenly went quiet.

By this point, quantum energy had already completely wrapped around Zane's soul.

In this infinite yet infinitesimally small quantum space, it resembled a giant egg.

In the next moment, as Zane waited, the singularity silently exploded.

In an instant, Zane's soul was shattered into the tiniest particles.

Even the shell of quantum energy that had formed around him began to tremble violently, covered with countless cracks.

At this time, external quantum energy rushed in, like moths to a flame, filling the gaps.

It tightly bound Zane's shattered soul and the countless rules of death within the giant egg.

Time in the quantum space was immeasurable, and it was unclear how much had passed.

More and more quantum energy gathered around the egg, penetrating its thick shell and merging in a mysterious way with Zane's fragmented soul.

Meanwhile, Zane's consciousness fell into a deep slumber as his soul was broken apart...

No one knew how much time had passed inside the quantum-energy-formed giant egg.

Each particle of Zane's soul, dispersed by the explosion of the singularity, was slowly being reconstructed with quantum energy in a double-helix structure.

As time went on, a humanoid skeleton began to form inside the egg, followed by internal organs, nerves, blood vessels, muscles, skin, and hair.

Eventually, a fully naked man, curled up like a newborn baby, floated within the egg.

Although this was Zane's soul, it was nearly indistinguishable from a real human body after merging with the quantum energy.

Zane's soul remained with its eyes closed, peacefully floating in the egg's space.

In the quantum realm, there is no concept of size. Although Zane was inside the egg shell, this space seemed as vast as the boundless universe.

Zane's figure seemed so insignificant in it; if one didn't look closely, it would be easy to miss.

The scattered rules of death collided countless times with the power of the Death God, forming irregular stars that orbited around the center where Zane, still asleep, resided.

But these stars remained motionless, as if frozen in place, resembling an external universe.

However, unlike the colorful external cosmos, this small universe had stars of various shapes, but they all shared a single color—gray.

It looked like a dead universe, evoking a sense of desolation at first glance.

Yet oddly, it also exuded a feeling of vigorous growth and full vitality.

The contrast was extremely unsettling, yet somehow harmonious, as if this was how it was always meant to be.

At a certain moment, Zane, who was curled up in the center of this dark little universe, slowly stretched out his body.

He let out a big yawn, his eyelashes fluttering.

The next moment, two bright points of light suddenly appeared in the dim space.

"That was such a good sleep," Zane said with satisfaction.

In fact, throughout the process of his soul being reshaped, Zane hadn't felt any pain at all.

Instead, he felt an overwhelming sense of relaxation, as if he had taken the best nap of his life.

The only time he had felt something similar was on Lorna's 18th birthday, that night.

With Zane's awakening, it was as if a switch had been flipped in this small universe centered around him.

Countless stars, formed from the rules of death and the power of the Death God, began to spin on their own axes and orbit around Zane.

In an instant, the previously still universe came to life.

Zane wasn't surprised by this magical scene.

The moment he awoke, an ancient voice seemed to tell him that he had successfully ascended to a mid-tier god, and his divine core had formed its own world.

His soul had also been fully materialized, meaning that even if his body in the external world was destroyed, he could continue to exist without harm.

"It's time to go. Lorna and the others are probably getting anxious," Zane murmured to himself as he stood at the center of the small universe.

As soon as he spoke, the still egg within the quantum space began to spin rapidly.

As it spun faster and faster, a quantum storm made entirely of quantum energy began to whip through the infinite space.

The egg became the eye of the storm.

Countless streams of quantum energy flowed toward the egg that encased Zane's small universe, and the egg devoured them all without leaving a trace.

The quantum storm grew ever larger, seeming to swallow up everything in sight.
