Lesson

If anyone familiar with Zane saw his current state, they would definitely stay as far away as possible.

Because whenever Zane had this expression on his face, it meant he was truly angry!

After receiving a definitive answer from Zane, Thor took a deep breath and said forcefully:

"Then I have no choice but to ask you to leave Asgard, Lord Zane!"

Thor, who had been well protected by Odin since childhood, still held a naive belief that justice was justice and evil was evil.

In his view, the superheroes on Earth who protected civilians were on the side of justice, and Zane, who slaughtered them, was naturally evil.

Believing Asgard to be a force for justice, Thor could not allow a ticking time bomb like Zane to remain here.

He didn't realize that someone as experienced as Odin could clearly see Zane's nature and still treated him with respect.

Immersed in his own world, Thor suddenly felt like he was the embodiment of justice, radiating with a blinding light.

He completely missed the mocking look in Zane's eyes.

Zane looked at the naive Thor as if he were a fool.

The next moment, the Reaper's Scythe appeared in Zane's right hand and unceremoniously slashed toward Thor's wooden head.

Zane wasn't one to tolerate being humiliated; someone coming to his door to drive him away was crossing the line, and Zane wasn't one to take it lying down.

Even if this guy was just a 'kid,' Zane didn't mind helping Odin educate him a bit.

To make him understand that the strong are not to be provoked but revered!

At this critical moment, Thor instinctively raised Mjolnir to block the deadly blade of the Reaper's Scythe.

But his hair was still sliced off in a few strands by the scythe's edge, and a thin line of blood appeared on his cheek.

After narrowly escaping death, Thor took several deep breaths to suppress his fear. Zane had really intended to kill him just now!

If not for Mjolnir blocking it, his head might not be on his shoulders now.

This confirmed Thor's belief that Zane was too dangerous to stay here. Who would so easily resort to lethal force?

As someone who had Asgard's backing, Thor might never understand that Zane's behavior was a reflection of the harsh reality of the universe.

Survival of the fittest!

Those aware of Thor's background knew that the powerful All-Father Odin stood behind him, naturally showing Thor some leniency.

This was the fundamental reason for Thor's unchecked behavior in his early life. In the original story, once Odin died, Thor's fate was wandering and the death of his brother.

But Zane didn't have those concerns. From the beginning, he hadn't feared Odin.

Even though he couldn't beat him, Zane could rely on his [Death River] to take Odin down with him, draining the old man's strength until he fell.

While the Reaper's Scythe and Mjolnir clashed in mid-air, sparks flew.

Unlike Zane's casual demeanor, Thor was straining every muscle to keep the scythe from advancing.

"Little Thor, let me teach you a lesson!"

"When facing someone who can kill you at any moment, you need to bottle up your anger and suppress your fire!"

"Got it?"

With these words, Zane exerted more force.

The next moment, sparks flew from Mjolnir, and a deep scratch appeared on its previously pristine surface.

Before Thor could even lament his beloved hammer being scarred, he and Mjolnir were sent flying out the window.

Luckily, the window was open; otherwise, the room would have been covered in glass shards.

But it wasn't over yet. Zane's anger wasn't so easily quelled.

Using [Flash], Zane appeared behind the still-airborne Thor.

With a sinister smile, Zane's Reaper's Scythe slashed towards Thor's waist with a sharp whistle.

Knowing the scythe's power, Thor realized that if it struck him, he would be cleaved in two and die on the spot.

Despite the heartache, Thor used his beloved hammer to block the Reaper's Scythe again.

The hammer now had another deep scar, and Thor was knocked in a new direction by the impact.

In the next instant, countless Zane's seemed to appear in Asgard's sky.

And Thor was like a volleyball, being smacked around by Zane.

Mjolnir, his only means of defense, was repeatedly scarred by the scythe's blade.

Thor didn't even have the chance to gather his thunder power to counterattack. He could only put all his energy into defending.

He could see that Zane's every strike was aimed at his vital spots.

A moment's slack would mean becoming a corpse.

Amid Zane's relentless assault, Thor finally slipped up, letting his guard down for a split second.

The next moment, the Reaper's Scythe sliced through him like paper, leaving a deep, bone-revealing wound.

As Zane and Thor fought, or rather, as Zane brutally beat Thor, Odin and Frigga watched from a distance.

Unlike the calm Odin, Frigga, seeing her son about to be killed by Zane, rushed forward to stop it but was held back by Odin.

"What are you doing? Thor is going to be killed!" Frigga cried, tears in her eyes.

"It's fine, Zane knows his limit."

"This will be a lesson for Thor; it's time he understood the world's true nature."

Odin said calmly, though his eyes occasionally showed a hint of pain like Frigga's.

While Thor felt every strike from Zane was lethal, Odin could see that Zane aimed his attacks where Thor could still defend.

It was clear Zane didn't intend to kill Thor, just to teach him a lesson.

Seeing this, Odin understood Zane's intention.

He also wanted to use Zane's hand to accelerate Thor's growth, correcting his naive thoughts.

As for why Odin didn't personally guide Thor during his upbringing?

There were two reasons. His first child, Hela, the Goddess of Death, was raised this way, resulting in a world-destroying demon king.
