Chapter 8: Rose
I found the room Rick was admitted into, it was one corridor away from a hallway where there were a lot of walkers locked in with a writing on the double doors "DON'T OPEN DEAD INSIDE". The room was heavily fortified with furniture and other random stuff. As the hallways were secured I moved the stuff to enter his room. I had Fascinations about meeting Rick but it was not as great as I hoped as all I looked upon was a scrawny and Pale looking man. It looks like in the aftermath of the panic Rick didn't receive his supplement. Tasking my pack to stay in Rick's room, I moved to scavenge for supplies , as the hospital was exempt from looters and raiders as there were too many walkers.
I remember that there was a group of biker gangs taking care of elderly people who were in need of medicine. There is only one rule, surviving. But I do not want to take all the medicine for myself. I would probably give some to that certain group of bikers and try to obtain more of their trust. I think it was a waste to leave them to their doom by the hands of other survivors as I rather accept them into the group, as they are more trustworthy compared to others. Well as I was making my way to the cafeteria I heard some gunshots nearby. While checking the cafeteria as I reached there I noticed the gunshots were from a building nearby the hospital.
From the windows I saw some soldiers shooting at walkers. I made my way down to the exit, as I slowly opened the door and checked around the corner for any walkers I saw none. With calm and slow steps I make my way across the street. As I near the door of the building I hear an explosion from one of the top floors. While rolling to another side I duck for cover from the debris. I looked up to see a cloud of dust and smoke coming out of the widow where the soldiers were. I ran inside, checking for any zombies turning left and right. I found two two zombies struggling behind each other. Getting behind the second one I stabbed it in the freaking head while kicking the first one in the knee joints. Pulling my knife out from the walker's head I stabbed the walker on the ground. Pulling the knife out I cleaned it on the walker's clothes while I scan the room for any more walkers none within sight I move on to the stairs.
Grabbing my gun, attaching my knife to it while bringing out my flashlight. I move upstairs with careful steps keeping a watch out for humans and walkers. I remember the soldiers being on the fifth floor, I made my way up the stairs clearing out any walkers near the stairs with clean headshots. While on the third floor I found a group of walkers banging against a door, moving closer I heard some crying.
I moved fast with a quick aim. I kill off the 8 to 10 walkers on my way to the door. Knocking three times on the door I asked the girl to open the door. It's safe now. The girl didn't trust me at first, asking me who I was and where the military uncles and aunt were. Clear from the questions, the military personnel I saw from the windows were the people she was talking about. I told her that I saw them on the 5th floor and I came here seeing them fighting to help out.
While thinking, " Not going to lie, I really wanted to talk to people other than my dogs ." I told the girl that I was going to help her out with meeting her family, but while opening the door the girl told me her parents died trying to keep her safe from the weird acting people, She has been staying with the military uncles and aunt but they got separated during the attack from the survivors group from 7th floor. The girl seemed to be around 14-16 years old, being 4 years younger than me.
While asking her if she was bitten by the walkers, she was confused but told me no when I told her I was talking about the weird acting people. Checking her stats to see if she was lying and finding out that she was telling me the truth I put my hand into my backpack to bring out some water and bread from my inventory. Well while she was eating she told me her name was Rose and that her family came here for her check up with the doctor because she was feeling sick.
While asking if she was ok now and checking how she was doing mentally I asked her how she met her uncles and aunt from the military. She told me how they were not actually her uncle and aunt. She told me that when people started acting weird in the hospital her dad told her uncles and aunts from the military were there to protect them. When a lot of patients were brought in. How bloody they were, one of the patients attacked the doctor and started biting others. While her family was attacked the military aunt saved them from the walkers and she was scared but the aunt from the military told her everything will be back as it was before she gets up tomorrow, she falls asleep.
But when she woke up from her sleep she found her mom bitten by a walker, her father hitting it with a chair. While the aunt from the military brushes through the door and shoots the two walkers before getting close to check if my mother was ok or not and the aunt gets pushed onto the ground as her mother bites the aunts neck. My dad grabs the gun and shoots her mother and starts crying but more walkers come through the open door, her dad starts shooting them but they keep walking towards them. When I look up again I see the dad was clicking and pressing on the gun but it was not shooting anymore. Dad started yelling and hitting the walkers with the gun butt But the walkers were too many. I saw Dad get bitten by the walkers as he told me to run.
It was dark but I ran and ran. Finally I found uncles from the military but they were fighting the walkers too. Running from there I locked myself in here. When I woke up it was already morning, the sunshine got inside from under the door. I made my way outside slowly but there were walkers far and they heard me and started banging on the door.
And that's when I met the girl and saved her. After she was done eating I took the girl and head on down to the ground floor as it was getting dark outside. Without troubles Rose and I made it back to Rick's room. At first the girl was scared of my dogs but my dogs got her to open up to him with their cuteness. When the rose my dogs play I find the supplement Rick needs and attach it to him. After the sky darkens I barricade the door to make sure and sleep next to Thor, Rex, Dawn, Fenrir.
