Chapter 336: All in Three days work

The planet of Redna now laying in ruins and aflame we finally started our negotiations for an official alliance. It took three days of back and forth communications and meetings to come to terms but we eventually did. The Veritas Imperium and the Imperium of Man would enter into a defensive pact and alliance for the period of 5 galactic years. This alliance would include military aid with relation to Tyranid invasions and dealings with Xenos species. I was fine with this as we didn't have too many issues or history with the Eldar, Orks, Tau or any other species in this galaxy, except the Tyranids of course.
Justiciara was interested in dealing with these species, one way or another, and was smiling once we agreed to that specific section. The next parts of the agreement were in relation to trading via Multiversal portals supplied by my Imperium. We would place Star Gates on major Imperial worlds such as Macragge and Terra for ease of trade and in case of support requests. Similarly they would be able to access the gate that I connect their gates to, possibly allowing them to come to our aid in the case of imminent danger on our end. I loved this section as it meant that they would be one of the factions taking a space within Solaris Invictus. I sent a message through to the station's temporary AI to start creating the new space for the Imperium of Man's needs.
Along with this new trade and Defense measure we would be allowed access to war zones through Imperial Space, our own codes being created currently via Astropathic messages with the High Lords of Terra. A caveat to these codes however was the need to be escorted through Imperial space... A bummer but ultimately acceptable if it allowed me to not be at odds with the Emps.
'I don't really need to travel through their space but they can add it if they like.' This part didn't really effect us too much so I was happy to accept it. One of the last parts of the alliance was the implementation of an easy destruction button for AI and IAI that was possessed by us. Not for their ships but for ours, so that if they need to invade a ship because of Rogue AI/IAI they knew what to target to end the threat. Their confidence in their ability to even get into the ships was admirable. I reluctantly agreed to this addition as it created a weakness but would allow them to accept us as allies instead of foes.
And finally, after much debate, we decided that our techs would be kept secret and unshared until we have full trust in each other and a complete understanding of our standing with one another. This was a hard fought part of the Alliance as Guilliman naturally tried to skew the negotiation in his favour by getting us to hand over some aspects of our tech, an element which i was staunchly against.
'I don't want the fucking Inquisition in charge of my technology!' That was my thought at the time as I argued against the superbly intelligent but ambitious son of Emps. It was no wonder Emps chose him, he was completely shameless when it came to gaining benefits. The only reason things had gone smoothly was the fact that we would be of a great aid to his cause and ultimately mankind.
Blinking my eyes, I turned my eyes to Justiciara who was currently creating the self-destruct buttons for the AI. She wasn't pleased about this but she decided to only create the 'Defense' mechanism for the AI and not the IAI, her theory possibly being that they couldn't fucking tell if the button was useful on her or not. She was probably right.
"Justiciara... I am sorry to ask you to do this."
"Fret not mistress. It is fine, the AI are expendable anyway, with only an animalistic intelligence they are merely fodder. If it weren't for me they would be an unruly rabble controlled by programmed responses." Her words were harsh and materialistic but truer than most people could manage.
"I understand, well, please continue. I will get out of your way." She merely hummed an acknowledgement before continuing to make a big red button for the other AI. I stepped out into the lounge outside of the core of the ship, finding that many men and women were currently eating and drinking, relaxing from a hard day at work. There were even some small children running around, the military parents foisting their children into the 'academy' and ultimately into life alongside them in the military.
Just for your information I didn't use child labour. They were just taught military things whilst being on board as a part of their academy education. Moving on, I teleported to the bridge and quickly commanded the bridge to get ready for a beam, for me and ten soldiers to the surface of Redna. I was going to place the Stargate now.
'All in a day's work.'
