Chapter 65: Discussion, Beginning of Training
Me and The Ancient One spent the next several hours rescuing people as well as recovering any books or scrolls that were in the library of Kamar-Taj. We had stopped all of the fires and had called for back up from some of the sanctuaries around the world. After finishing up we decided to head to the New York Sanctum.
I appeared along side The Ancient One in a larger foyer with split staircases leading to a second floor, many sorcerers moving in and out of the room with various artefacts and various other curios. She started to lead me through the sanctum, showing off some of the more mystical rooms and areas. I was particularly happy when i saw the 'door' room. There were multiple doors with locations painted within them, a faint energy leaking from the outline of the doors.
Eventually, after a small tour, we settled down in a room where there was a small coffee table and cushions adorning the floor in a seating arrangement. She gestured towards them before dropping to one herself and beginning the process of brewing tea. I took up a cushion at her behest and waited patiently, as patiently as i could, for her to finish. Towards the end of the tea making ceremony my legs were twitching and moving somewhat, my perpetual energy causing me issues.
She poured out a cup of tea for me and smoothly placed it on a cup holder close to me, following up with her own moments later.
"Ah, now that is over i can finally relax..."
The Ancient One's voice was somewhat hoarse as she then began to slowly drink the brewed tea in her tea cup. I was curious how it tasted so i decided to take a drink at the same time, also so i wasn't being impolite. It was surprisingly good, it was green tea but with a minty taste added to it, one would think that it could be disgusting with that addition but this seemed to balance it perfectly.
"Hmm, okay, now you came to Kamar-Taj to read the books and learn from them yes?"
I nodded as o continued to drink my tea, the answer not needing to be said.
"Yes, well, that is ridiculous... You should at least attempt to officially learn sorcery, without any cheating. It will temper your will, teach you the base elements and ideas of sorcery and magic as well as hone your current abilities. Before you complain i will say this, you had numerous holes within your magic and the only reason Voldemort couldn't harm you was the fact that my magic was stampeding towards him."
I scowled a little as i was told straight to my face that my magic knowledge and powers are weak. I could feel the slash across my pride but decided to hold back any of my words, especially since she is the person with supreme knowledge of magic on Earth.
"Right, well, what would you recommend Ancient One?"
"First of all, you can call me Yao, second of all, i suggest you spend half a year or a full year studying and using magic without your angelic cheats, attempt to learn like any one else and adapt yourself to the elements you are good at. You could be my personal student or if you are uncomfortable with that you can learn from several other sorcerers."
"Hmmm, so what you are saying is that I'm too reliant on my current abilities and haven't learnt enough to fully comprehend my own magics and understand truly what magic is?"
"Essentially..."
"I agree to the condition, as long as i can gain access to the library in conjunction with learning from you."
"Of course, the restricted section will not be permitted to be viewed however."
"Naturally."
After our conversation died down we continued to drink our tea whilst making some light conversation about the sanctums around the world and their purpose, i was hiding the fact that i knew it already.
[Time limit on undergoing artificial cleansing and refinement: 18:01:39]
'I'll do it tonight Sis...'
[Okay, also i will inform you that if you are not going to want to use the system during these 6 months or year period of time i will go dormant and will only awaken when you intend to use me again.]
'Um, couldn't you stay with me during that time? I think I'd be very lonely without you.'
[Unfortunately there comes a time where the bird has to leave the coop, you haven't spent enough time among the people in this world and you need people other than myself to help guide you and to learn from. I have seen that you are over reliant on me for some time so this will help you. I will be active until the refinement and artificial cleansing is accomplished, then i will go dormant. Don't worry about your magic, you will still be able to use it.]
'Okay sis...'
I felt a sadness creep up in my heart as i considered the events that had happened since my death for the first time. It was crazy how well i had just accepted the situation and blazed forward. Sis was always there for me when i needed her and she became a huge part of my life despite only being in this multiverse for a month or two.
'She's right, i need to gain some independence other wise i am just a slave to her...'
There was no response from sis which increased the sadness within my soul but i could do nothing about that in the moment.
I soon finished my tea with Yao and decided to retire for the day, teleporting back to the Xavier Mansion where i immediately went to Illyana and hugged her, my feelings all muddled and my brain over working itself to process what i have gone through these last months.
" I love you Illyana, i will be training with The Ancient One for six months, I'll try my best to come back to you as often as i can... If you want you can even come and stay with me for a while whilst I'm there."
She smiled delicately as she rubbed my back whilst hugging me.
"Sure, i would love that. Who knows, i may be really good at magic?"
"Hehe, i would love that."

Author Alex here, there will be a bit of a time jump to go through the training process and everything as i want to jump right into her changes after going through this and give and update to her personality now that she had basically gotten 6 months of spiritual and magical training to shape her personality a bit more, as well as bring out her intelligence.
