What the heck?! How could Devon just crouch down and lift her like that? Olivia was just a peasant! How could she be more important than Candice? It was so unfair! That witch had won this round, but Candice vowed she would come back at her. The plan had been perfect, and now Olivia had ruined it. Why and how could she have ruined it so suddenly?

Candice fumed silently. She had sneaked out from her night job to spend time with Devon and teach Olivia a lesson. How had it ended up with her being the one taught a lesson instead? Olivia might have won this time, but Candice was determined that Devon would remain hers in the long run. She wasn't going anywhere.
