Chapter 15: 15. Fear me!

Just as he was about to leave the castle, Brent heard a loud growl.

"Brent," Devon growled, causing him to turn back. Brent shivered as Devon started to approach, but he stood his ground, knowing he was the strongest beta in the pack and wouldn't be intimidated.

Devon stood in front of Brent and smiled. "I appreciate you taking time out to visit Olivia."

Brent smiled cautiously, unsure of Devon's intentions. "I don't understand, Alpha Devon. She's my daughter. There's nothing I wouldn't do for her."

"Be careful about what you promise, Mr. Brent," Devon warned. "There might come a time when you'll have to prove your words."

"I'm not scared of you," Brent scoffed.

Devon grinned, enjoying Brent's discomfort. "You should be. If not, I'll go the extra mile to ensure you are."
