Olivia had watched Devon's hurried eating with curiosity. Was where he was heading really so important?

She couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy toward whoever he was going to meet. Nevertheless, she savored her own meal, taking her time to eat everything. Growing up, she barely had enough food to eat, so now she made sure to eat as much as she could to gain weight.

Once finished, Olivia cleared the table, carrying the used dishes to the kitchen. There, she noticed Elsa avoiding her gaze. Olivia ignored her as well. She didn't want any more trouble today. After arranging the dishes neatly, she turned to leave.

"I wonder who you're leaving the dishes for," Elsa murmured. "You're slow, not handicapped."

Startled, Olivia turned back, pointing to herself in disbelief.

"Can't you understand when someone's talking about you? You served the Alpha and now you expect someone else to clean up?" Elsa's tone was cutting.
