Chapter 167: Chapter 163: Visiting the DEO and Sisterly Reunion
[3rd POV]
Later in the day, after they had eaten their lunch, Kara and Talia had left the apartment complex, in favor of going to the DEO base in the city. The girls were back home, putting their stuff away and getting used to the place after two years of being away.
"How does it feel to be back?" Talia asked Kara, who looked to her with a small smile.
"Weird? Different? Not sure to be honest. It feels like it's been so long since we've been back, that it just feels...strange. Not that I didn't miss Alex, J'onn, Winn, James, and even Cat, but...something about that farmhouse just felt so...right" Kara responded after a few moments.
"I agree with you on that one, love. That's why when all this adventuring is done with, I plan on making that little farmhouse of ours, our home from then on" Talia replied.
"Great! And um, do you plan on still creating your company here?" Kara asked Talia who nodded.
"Yep, not reason not to, not with all the knowledge that is floating about in this skull of mine. That and it would be wrong of me to not spread something like the cure for cancer. Why do you ask, love?"
"Well, I know that I want to be a reporter for Cat, but...do you think it's okay if I work in your company too? I don't want any special privileges or anything, but I just...I think working as a Scientist could be good for me, not to mention the Kryptonian knowledge I've got that could be used to truly help this world of ours" Kara replied, as Talia listened.
"I'd be more than happy to give a job there, love. But are you sure you want a simple job as a scientist? You'd be better as a higher up in the company, especially with your expertise" Talia responded, as she truly did believe that Kara would be better off working directly with her, instead of working as a normal scientist like the others she would naturally be hiring.
"No, Talia. I don't want any special treatment because I'm with you, or because of my background, I'd rather work my way up as I naturally would have" Kara replied with a shake of her head, refusing the idea.
Talia sighed at the response "I'm not going to be able to change your mind, am I?"
"Nope!" Kara replied with a grin as Talia rolled her eyes with a small smile.
"Alright love, I'll support you. Now, why don't we get in there? I'm pretty sure your sister is waiting for you, or at least, is hoping you're getting home today" Talia replied, motioning to a large and inconspicuous skyscraper.
"This is where the base is?! Why didn't they tell me! It would have been so much easier to fly here, I even got bit by a bat in the last one!" Kara asked with a pout, as the last base was quite far away, was underground in the desert, and had literal bats in it.
Talia giggled at her girlfriend's reaction, before replying "I think it was because the other base has better security and is where their best cells are. That or they were just too lazy to switch over to this one, that's also a likely reason"
"Well it would have been nice if they did tell me, this one is way closer! It's like a few minutes from my apartment" Kara replied with a huff, annoyed that they didn't tell her about it.
"It's a good thing you won't be staying in that apartment anymore, isn't it?" Talia replied, as Kara looked at her with a small blush, knowing that she was going to be moving in with Talia from now on. She had lived with her for 2 years now, and would never change that, not now.
"Y-yes" Kara squeaked, knowing that living with Talia meant.
"Now, let's get in there, shall we?" Talia said, breaking her adorable mate out of her blushing state, as Kara nodded. In a soft flash of light unseen by others, Kara appeared in her new super suit that Talia had made for her, for the first time in 2 years.

Looking over Kara in her suit, Talia purred at the way it showed off her abs and impressive body "You look amazing, darling~"
"S-stop teasing me" Kara squeaked with a blush as Talia just chuckled, before she glowed as well, as her Solaris uniform formed around her. At the same time, all around the world, her clones and familiars began to get to work once again.
Floating to the window, it slowly began to open as the two flew into the room, as Alex let out a soft gasp seeing her sister in the flesh for the first time in a week. A week to them, but who knows how long for Kara.
"You're back!" Alex said with a happy smile as she wrapped Kara into a smile, Talia on her right as she looked around the room a bit, before focusing back on Alex.
"I am, I-I've missed you so much" Kara whispered as she hugged her sister close, having not seen her in around 2 years.
"I'm glad you're back, Supergirl, Solaris" J'onn said as he smiled, giving Talia a nod.
"Glad to be back. So...how have things gone since we left?" Talia asked as Kara and Alex separated.
"Perfectly fine, with only a few incidents here and there, nothing we couldn't handle, especially not with that suit you gave Alex" J'onn replied, as Talia nodded in understanding.
"How long were you guys gone for?" Alex asked, looking at her sister who glanced at Talia. Seeing the look, Talia understood that Kara didn't know how to break this sort of news, so, she decided to be the one to do it.
"Around two years" Talia replied, as Alex and J'onn looked at her in shock, not expecting them to be gone for so long.
"T-two years?! I thought it'd only be a couple months on your end!" Alex exclaimed.
"Yeah well, things happened, villains were defeated, diseases were cured, and we got some much needed relaxation" Taia replied with a shrug, knowing that Alex was not happy.
"Yeah we had a farm and everything! It was...amazing, Alex, seriously. We lived in Smallville with a version of my cousin and Talia became that world's greatest hero, she even cured a bunch of diseases and everything!" Kara responded with a smile, trying to calm her sister down a bit.
"Diseases?" J'onn asked with interested eyes.
"I'll sell the cures when I make my company" Talia replied with a wave of her hand, as the man nodded slowly, still interested in what diseases she cured exactly, as knowing Talia, it wasn't just some simple ones like the cold, but something much more complicated and huge.
"Please don't be mad, Alex. I wanted to stay there for that long, it was just...something I really needed. But I'm back now, and ready to do some hero-ing with this new suit of mine! It's pretty cool, right? It's made up of a bunch of super powerful metals that Talia got her hands on" Kara responded with a grin, as Alex looked at her sisters smile before sighing, deciding to drop it, mostly so she didn't ruin her little sister's mood.
"Fine, fine. But...can you at least tell us what happened over there?" Alex asked, as Kara looked to Talia who nodded with a soft smile, causing her to grin before speaking.
"Well, it all started when we bought this farm..."
