“When are we going to land, anyway?” Dani asked. “Staying in the air for too long is a bit exhausting, you know.”
“It shouldn’t take too long. Let’s wait until the staff finishes taking care of everything first. Our duty is now done, but it’s not the same for others backstage. There probably is a lot for them to clean up.”
“I guess so,” Dani sighed. “To be honest, this is the first time I want to take a long vacation to wind down.”
Joke chuckled lightly at the rarely seen fatigue from this blond man.
“I’m sorry for dragging you into a big problem like that.”
“Don’t mention it.” He waved his hand. “I have to apologize to you too. I promised everyone that I’d take you for a relaxing vacation and ended up getting you involved in something super big.”
“I’m already used to it. Actually, it might be better this way. It’s like I’ve gotten a change of scenery.”
