Chapter 209: Could Not be Happy

Tang Shi Yi returned home after accompanying Ye Heng for a meal. 

The children rushed over when they saw her walking in. However, their steps halted upon noticing that their mother brought back a bouquet in her hand.

Xiao Xiao used to get excited when her mother brought home some flowers. However, after hearing from her elder brother that their mother was seeing someone, Xiao Xiao could no longer get excited.

The flowers' appearance would remind her that she was one step closer to getting a stepfather.

"Mommy, you're back." Xiao Xiao walked over to her mother as she eyed the flowers cautiously. 

"Mmm..." Tang Shi Yi crouched down to get to her children's level. She handed the bouquet to her daughter and smiled. Seeing that her daughter was eyeing the flowers, Tang Shi Yi thought that Xiao Xiao was going to look at the flowers again. "Xiao Xiao, do you want to help me put the flower in the vase?"
