'Huh! Wha- what just happened?' I thought as I began to go over everything I learned.
'Okay, so let's start with the obvious; player names. Some players have just a number designation, while others have a specialized username.' I mused.
'If this is set up as a game, then character creation and profile customization usually comes after a tutorial. But Mr. Five proved that wasn't the case, as he didn't even get to choose his character, which happen in less than five seconds. And to top it off, the following events showed there are a risks and rewards to our choices, which brings me to the whole compatibility thing.' I noted.
'The compatibility you have with a character is the most important aspect one has to be mindful of if you want to survive, as seen with Mr. Seven and 007Fan. But you also have to be conscious of what may happen if you select that character if you pick them, as seen with ImPickleRick. Honestly, I'm not surprised, it would make sense that you wouldn't be able to become Rick with all the stuff that surrounds him.'
'Why are the character called by more vague names anyway? Unless you were in the know, it would be hard to make a choice. Does the system want to weed out the impulsive? Who even is "Brains" anyway?'

"Oh, that Zeus." I said with a bit of realization. 'Thought it is a bit on the nose.'

'What? Well, looks like they aren't trying to hide.' I thought impressed by their frankness.
[Wa- what? One of the players is starting to ascend] Said the Voice Of Apprise.
'Huh, ascension'
{What!?" Said the Voice Of Selection.
'Apprise? Selection? I feel… Strange.'
"Then Da Fuck Are Ya Standing Around For. Purge Them Now!" Said the Voice Of Importance.
'I feel I'm becoming… more. But why?' I thought.
Around me where there was once the lonely backdrop of space shadows, vaguely human, began to flicker and fill the area with the smell of burnt rubber. Three of the shadows floated above the rest. The voices from before, no doubt.
The space- er… game lobby began to crack and break away, reminiscent of glass… breaking… like…. God. In between the cracks, the rifts in space, I saw the same liminal nothing from before the game.
I'm at a crossroads again, aren't I. All right, so my choices this time are lonely godhood or an unknown fate. Well, before I make a choice, I have to ask just one question.
//3rd POV//
In the cracked space, the ripped tapestry, the voice of a child called out. "If I refuse godhood, can I play, too." Said the Voice of the Gamer.
The Voices fell silent as their shadows turned their ethereal eyes towards the transitory light body. "Ya Expect Us To believe That Ya Just Gonna Just 'Refuse Godhood' Ta Play A Game," said the Voice of Importance.
"Aren't the other players seeking godhood?" Said the Voice of Gamer. "But why would you throw away an assured win? A win, the other players are building toward." Said the of Apprise. "Hmm, Hmm" Said the Voice of Selection while nodding their head.
"Pfft, ha ha ha ha." The childish voice of the Gamer echoed throughout the cracked moment of time and space, filling the lobby with a lightheartedness the was unexpected for such a scene. For such a weighty decision.
"Unlike the other players, my goal isn't to become the strongest existence or have everything I've ever wanted to come true." Provided the Voice of the Gamer, "The uncertainty, ups and downs, surprise and adaptability of such a grand game are what I crave."
The Shadows of the Voices turned to one another. A look of confusion adorning their shadowy visages. "All in favor to allow him to join the game?" Asked Apprise.
"Aye." "I except." Expressed Voice the Apprise and Selection.
"Hell Naa, Not Without Restrictions!" Disagreed the Voice of Importance.
"Restrictions? Oh, you mean the polite suggestions I plan to creatively reinterpret?" Replied the Voice of the Gamer. "But fine, let's hear what 'restrictions' will get you to agree to my request."
"I Only Have Three Rules You Must Follow, Which are; We Will Not Give You Any Cheats To Assist You. You Are Not Allowed To Use Any Power That Wasn't Already Possible For The Character Of Your Choosing. And Finally, You Will Start Your New Life As Your Character From The Very Beginning Of Their Life. And Yes, That Means You'll Start Out As A Baby." remarked the Voice of Importance with extra disdain at the end of his sentence.
"Great, I'll just add 'mastering potty training' to my list of epic quests. Challenge accepted, oh Voice of Importance!" Called out the Voice of the Gamer, surprising The Voice of Importance with his willing eagerness.
"Well, Good, Now Onto Stripping You Of Your Godhood." Said the Voice of Importance while they reach out their shadowy hand, "Please Don't Resist."
//1st POV//
As Importance reach out their hand towards me, the feeling of more began to fade along with the cracks of the lobby. Though I feel as if I could have prevented it from happening.
