Chapter 5: Cafe
"Huff, huff, puff, arghh." Ken collapsed on a sidewalk.
Saying he was out of breath was an understatement, he was one step away from imploding from within.
His heart which had acted like a motor engine for the past dozen minutes finally calmed down and a worrying ache came after.
'Come to think of it, I died because of a heart attack, didn't I?'
He had died because he was enraged and stressed beyond belief. Now, with his heart aching beyond what he was capable of enduring, he came to a horrifying realization.
'Don't tell me it's always going to be like this?'
Jujutsu sorcerer was an occupation that which stress and adrenaline went hand in hand together. If Ken couldn't handle that without suffering from a heart issue, he would have to give up on stopping Sukuna altogether.
One bad thing after another, he truly needed a break.
First, he dies.
Second, he is resurrected in Kyoto.
Third, He got lost
Fourth, he met fucking Kenjaku and the special grades.
Fifth, he got shit for a cursed technique.
Sixth, now he is lying on a sidewalk, clutching his heart and squirming in pain.
On top of all that, it was nighttime. It was cold and there could be cursed spirits roaming the streets.
He had to get up and find a shelter.
'At this point, anything will do. What are the chances of me stumbling into the Kyoto school territory?'
Unlikely. That was what.
Unlike Tokyo Jujutsu High, he didn't know anything about the sister school here in Kyoto. At least Tokyo one had the red gates to serve as a landmark. He didn't know anything about Kyoto.
'Come to think of it, Tokyo Jujutsu High was under the disguise of a religious school, it was stated somewhere in the first few episodes of the anime.
So, if there's a religious school in Kyoto, it could be the Jujutsu school.'
There, he could try to join the school and train.
However, if he did that, then he wil be confined to Kyoto and will only be able to go to Tokyo during the Sister School Exchange event.
Hell, there's no telling that he would be picked for the exchange event in the first place.
Which is why searching for Kyoto School is risky, he would need to go to Tokyo and get admitted there fast.
The pain in his heart slowly subsided, allowing certain degree of movement.
Ken gradually rose up from the ground and started walking.
'Let's find somewhere to spend the night first. I wonder if the internet cafe Kenjaku told me is actually legit?
Wouldn't hurt to find out.'
Ken observed his surroundings first and found out he was already close to the internet cafe, it was already visible.
In his state of absolute terror, he seems to have followed Kenjaku's direction instinctually.
He didn't know if it was a good thing or not.
Either way he needed a rest.
He entered the cafe called "Fujimoto's" and met a cute-looking girl, who was the receptionist at the cafe.
Ken greeted her, paid the necessary fee and went to a chair and slumped down on it.
The receptionist girl didn't take her eyes off him during the entire time.
Her cute face broke into a grin.
And revealed a set of crooked needle-like teeth.
