Chapter 53: Long time no see

Douglas drove into the little town where Faustina's Manor as well as the little vintage restaurant is located.

Lopez sat beside him, while Alex lounged in the back seat, eyes fixed on his phone. Douglas shot Alex a glance through the rear mirror, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes.

"You should be the one driving, I'm not your chauffeur," Douglas said calmly.

Alex looked up, a smirk spreading across his face.

"You're the one who's eager to visit Danielle, not me," Alex retorted, his voice laced with a hint of sarcasm.

Lopez shook his head in dismay, a gentle chuckle escaping his lips.

"Give me directions, please," Douglas requested, and Alex began to guide him through the winding streets, leading them to the vintage restaurant.

In just ten minutes, they arrived at their destination, and as they entered, the warm atmosphere enveloped them. They made their way to the cozy table at the far end of the corner, where they settled in.
