Chapter 23: Forced Kiss

A figure in a mysterious, hooded cloak fixated on the video of Jeffrey and Dunice. With an intense gaze, he studied the footage once more before decisively clicking the send button.

He intended to make Dunice pay; he vowed to create a facade of comfort only to shatter it. No one had dared to defy him without consequences, and she wouldn't be an exception.

Returning home from the vintage restaurant, Alexander found everything immaculately cleaned. Only the electricity and plumbing awaited fixing, scheduled for tomorrow. After paying the workers, he dismissed them, satisfied with the day's progress.

"It's time for lunch now, Dunice should be free, let me give her a call," Alex thought to himself.

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" He mumbled.
