=======================================================

Li Lin engaged in discussions with Heimerdinger about the future development of intelligent devices and explored matters related to "material compression" technology.

Approaching lunchtime, he left Piltover University to meet Caitlyn. They enjoyed a meal at her favorite restaurant.

After lunch, with Caitlyn's exceptional detective skills, Li Lin confirmed that her mother's agents were not keeping a watchful eye nearby.

Subsequently, she took Li Lin to her detective agency apartment, and the two spent leisure time together until well past two o'clock.

When citizens came seeking Caitlyn's assistance, Li Lin bid her farewell, returning to Piltover University, where he successfully obtained Jayce's Hextech Hex Gates teleportation technology.

In the following days, he immersed himself in the workshop.

Utilizing Heimerdinger's technology, Li Lin created a semi-intelligent auxiliary chip, installing it along with the teleportation device onto the Project Genesis - Infinite Power Armor.

The upgraded auxiliary chip increased energy consumption from 150 to 200 per second.

As a result, the power armor could only recover 90 energy per second.

The Hex Gates teleportation technology added a new function to the power armor:

[Active · Blink: Consume 30% of maximum energy, instantly teleport to any location within a 50-meter radius.]

Though the 50-meter range could be covered almost instantly with the acceleration of "Overload Charge," Blink had no cast time and could "teleport" to any target area within 50 meters, making it more practical in certain situations compared to the speed provided by "Overload Charge."

However, after several upgrades and modifications, the power armor, powered by only three energy crystals, was no longer sufficient.

With the current "Rare" quality of the power armor, it couldn't handle the energy supply from a fourth crystal.

During this period, Li Lin spent a considerable amount of time using the "Mechanical Enhancement" skill, attempting to upgrade the power armor to "Artifact" quality.

However, relying solely on the 1% probability of upgrading to "Artifact," Li Lin gave up after numerous unsuccessful attempts. It was something only a "lucky guy" could achieve.

Shifting his focus, Li Lin acknowledged that the energy crystals provided limited power to the current Project Genesis - Infinite Power Armor. It was time to explore a new energy core.

The blueprint for the "Hextech Energy Crystal" was obtained through Hextech technology crystal fragments, understanding some of the secrets of the Shellfolk.

To obtain a better energy core, the next step was likely to involve Primordial Crystals, or at the very least, fragments of Primordial Crystals.

The easiest way for Li Lin to acquire Primordial Crystals or their fragments was through the "Essence Store."

As the saying goes, a system-produced item is bound to be a high-quality product.

The "Primordial Crystal" sold in the "Essence Store" had no consciousness and had no connection to the Brackern, saving a lot of trouble.

However, a single Primordial Crystal cost 875 Blue Essence, and even a fragment required 425 Blue Essence.

After purchasing "Eleiza's Miracle" for Caitlyn, Li Lin was left with only 200 Essence.

It was barely enough to buy two Healing Orbs or a Fairy Talisman Pendant. He couldn't even afford a Doran's Ring.

The only other option was to go through the Kiramman family or Piltover University.

However, in recent years, Noxus had been frequently engaged in warfare, deploying forces to expand and occupying several ports along the coast of Shurima.

Apart from business, Piltover's families and the university had ceased sending treasure-hunting expeditions to regions like Shurima and Ionia.

The Primordial Crystal was nowhere to be found.

It wasn't until last month that the "Piltover Daily" reported a sudden political upheaval in Noxus.

A former general named Jericho Swain had overturned Boram Darkwill's rule, becoming the new Grand General of Noxus.

Simultaneously, he issued orders to recall troops from Ionia and those engaged in operations deep in Freljord. He also instructed the withdrawal of some forces occupying Shurima's ports.

Seizing this opportunity, Lady Cassandra dispatched an expedition to the abandoned port of Nashramae, previously held by Noxus.

The Kiramman family planned to start searching for Primordial Crystals from there.

With a glimmer of hope in the field of energy cores, Li Lin shifted his focus to the semi-intelligent floating cannon technology of Heimerdinger.

After three sleepless days and nights, drawing inspiration from the Mechanic class in the game DNF, he crafted a prototype robot suitable for aerial combat.

He named it "Storm," a prototype of the "Aerial Combat Mech."

["Aerial Combat Mech - Storm (Prototype - Common): Semi-intelligent aerial combat robot. Manually locks onto targets using a remote control, pursues and inflicts devastating attacks."]

[Attributes: 8000 Health, 1000 Energy, 40 Combat Power]

[Passives]

[Full Automation: When energy is depleted, Storm becomes immobilized. Consumes 100 energy per second (Energy Propeller + Auxiliary Chip).]

[Dual Core Supply: Provides an additional 1500 energy, greatly enhancing the power of "Energy Weapons."]

[Recharge: Restores 6% of maximum energy per second (3% + 3%).]

[Reinforced Alloy: Provides an additional 500 health.]

[Semi-intelligent Auxiliary Chip: Sustainably locks onto targets and initiates attacks, switching weapons based on enemy numbers and strength.]

[Actives]

[7.62mm Light Machine Gun (Left Hand): Continuously fires 7.62mm ammunition at the target, causing lethal damage (can load 500 rounds).]

[Electric Shock Shoulder Cannon: Deploys shoulder armor, launching two energy projectiles towards the target. Causes destructive impact in a 1-meter area and energy shock in a 1-5 meter area (consumes 200 energy per shot).]

[Electric Shock Cannon Barrage: Deploys back armor, firing dozens of mini energy projectiles towards the target area. Causes devastating damage, with a maximum coverage range of 15 meters (consumes 500-1000 energy).]

This aerial support combat robot is still in the prototype testing phase, as Li Lin has not used "Mechanical Enhancement" to upgrade it to the "Rare" quality.

Considering everything, "Storm" primarily relies on energy weapons for its main offensive capabilities, with kinetic weapons serving as secondary.

On one hand, the relatively peaceful and stable Piltover currently lacks something like a "machine gun."

In the higher-end kinetic weapons of Zaun, the Hextech Precision Rifle, a semi-automatic, is the most advanced. This is also the weapon used by Caitlyn in the original timeline.

As for fully automatic kinetic rifles, there is only the Hextech Carbine, which is too unstable and has not been mass-produced.

Therefore, the most common ammunition in Piltover is the 7.62mm rifle bullet, which happens to be compatible with the lightweight machine gun designed by Li Lin and installed on the aerial combat robot.

On the other hand, without reaching the level of material compression and electromagnetic weapon technology, the amount of ammunition that the aerial combat robot itself can carry is very limited.

Coupled with the weapon control in Piltover and the Kiramman family, Li Lin managed to apply for just over a hundred rounds of ammunition. This was approved only after he showcased "Storm" to Lady Cassandra.

After all, with no war erupting in Piltover, there was no need to load so much ammunition into this dangerous combat weapon.

This was Lady Cassandra's intention, but Li Lin completely disagreed with her.

"Fear of insufficient firepower... A little over a hundred rounds of ammunition will be exhausted in just over ten seconds of continuous shooting. How is that enough?"

In the workshop, he stared at the automated mechanical arm filling "Storm's" ammo slot with bullets according to a fixed program, expressing his frustration.

"No, this ammunition is simply not enough. If I want to stand alone, combat robots like 'Storm' need mass production...

"I have to establish my own arms factory... But, setting aside Lady Cassandra, the approval of the Council and the approval of Piltover's security forces will definitely not be granted."

Li Lin rubbed his bare chin, contemplating for a long time.

"Perhaps I should look for Silco. Ask him to help me find a place in Zaun and establish an arms factory first..."
