Chapter 45: My doubts weren’t wrong

Did I want to stay in that past and indulge myself in those lovely yet twisted memories? Our time in that city was truly terrible. We were completely oppressed, and only managed to drag ourselves out barely. 

However, I have never hated that place. In fact, I somehow loved it. Pretty much so. The feeling of family I've found and created there was something I'll never forget. 

Unfortunately… 

Happy things never last. Every lovely, good thing is destined to have an end. Whatever that ending was, it was clearly of no concern to fate. Fate would choose the correct ending for it. 

But it was sad, how our happy family was forced to meet its demise without us being able to fight properly. 

Although you say this all, I believe this is actually your fault.

You've abandoned them. It was true that you fought for the very end at the start, but you've abandoned the second generation of them.
