Chapter 37: Instant regret

When Kaoma awoke later that day Maxixe was already gone. 

She sat up in the bed, feeling groggy, just how heavy was Maxixe?

Her entire body ached it felt like a donkey cart had run over her she was just not used to the feel of Maxixe's body on top of hers.

Was this how closely he planned to sleep with her for the remainder of her duration at the Fairy Knoll?

Not that she was complaining because a part of her secretly didn't mind being so close and sleeping next to him.

She imagined in the winter he would make a wonderful source of body heat.

The idea of sharing her bed with a husband in the distant feature didn't seem so unappealing as when she had gotten married to Lord Horace.

Kaoma stirred beneath the sheets feeling helpless as her stomach grumbled. 

Her hunger pains were back and she was still clueless as to how to get around her new home for the time being.
