Chapter 21: Why are you forcing me Gloria
Recently I started to teach Gloria some better English. Jay asked me to do that. I agreed. I did it for free. My reward was that Haley also came here for that time and we could spend some time together alone after I taught Gloria.
But today the lessons were a little different. Gloria needed help.
"Olla Ethan. I need some help"
"What's wrong Gloria?", I asked her.
"I want to give Jay a good birthday present but I can't find anything. Dios mío.", she said sighing.
"You are creative. Tell me something", Gloria asked expectantly.
"Well, I know someplace you could go to for vacation", I told her as I remembered where they went in the original plot.
It was Hawaii. They had a really good time there.
"What place?", Gloria asked excitedly raising her voice.
"Hawaii", I told her.
"Hawaii?"
"Good idea Ethan", she said and began searching for a good resort.
It didn't take long and she found a good one.
She quickly typed everything in.
"Why twelve people? You won't go alone with Jay?", I asked confused for real. There were only eleven people in the original.
"The whole family will be flying together. Isn't that great, Dios mío", she said happily.
"Wouldn't that be eleven people then?", I asked her.
"No, twelve is right", she replied filling in all the card details.
"Then who is coming with you?", I asked her thinking it would be Jay's sister or some relative.
"You", Gloria said.
"Me?", I asked uncertain if I heard it right.
"Yes, you don't want to come?", she asked.
"No, I would destroy the family atmosphere. Don't include me", I said trying to convince her. I feared it would get awkward.
"Unlucky for you, I already paid for the resort."
"Now comes the flight", she said.
I still tried to convince her but it didn't work. She can be very stubborn. If Gloria wanted to do something she did it.
Her reason was
"This will be the payment for the language lessons"
As I couldn't convince her I tried to help lower Jay's financial burden. I couldn't pay for the resort as it would probably hurt Jay's pride, but I could pay for the flight.
That would be easy as I already got the private plane I wanted. The airport still needed to wait as there wasn't any suitable one yet. The plane was a Airbus a320 neo.
About the airplane, it would have taken quite a while for it to get delivered, but the dealer had already produced a similar plane, which went to some rich person. The rich person in question couldn't pay anymore as his company went bankrupt due to the housing bubble popping two years ago. It could hold on for quite a while, but in the end, it needed to go insolvent.
I didn't care about that. I was just happy to get a private plane, which would be priced lower than usual due to it already being built and customized by the other person.
It was a real bargain. Only 170,000,000 million.
After his parents heard about the purchase they asked for what he needed that airplane and should just take the family's Airbus A380 or the older 747. I didn't know what the best way to reject them was. It took quite a long to figure out a good rejection.
I managed to convince them that I would just paint the family crest on the plane and all good.
How troublesome it is to be rich. ~sigh~
I remembered all this and offered to let them fly with me as I had gained a bargain of a plane recently.
"Wow from which website did you get a cheap ticket? I must use that one the next time I fly to Colombia with Manny", Gloria asked excitedly. She must have thought I meant a plane ticket, not a plane.
Soon came Jay's birthday.

burakku I originally wanted to make one of the next templates to be Sherlock Holmes, but he is just way too OP for my future purposes. It wouldn't integrate into the story all too well. Due to this I ask you. My dear readers, please recommend some nerfed Sherlock Holmes characters to me. It can probably wait as I am still quite a bit away from the point where it would really come to use.
