Chapter 54: Brian, You Are Heartless

It took all the willpower and unholy rage in Lola to hit Brian. This was something she wouldn't dare to do on a normal day, knowing how temperamental Brian was. She sucked in her breath, closed her eyes and waited for Brian to retaliate but surprisingly he didn't.

When she opened her reddened eyes, she was terrified by the lethal gaze of Brian, glowering at her as though he wanted to rip out her soul from her body.

Brian moved closer to her and spoke in a deep, raspy and icy tone.

"If you ever raise your disgusting hand and hit me again in your pathetic life..." Brian stressed each word emphatically. His fiery breath on Lola's reddened cheek was like a scorching desert in the dry season. He watched Lola tremble like a dry leaf in autumn and imagined strangling her for having the gut to strike him.

"... I will make sure I break bone in your body. I do not care if you are a woman or pregnant or in the hospital." He warned threateningly.
