Chapter 106: The Reason

He is reflecting on everything that had happened, thinking what he could have done better to prevent this from happening. 

Mara initially wanted to stay by his side, but he told her to keep watch on the cleanup process, making sure there were no more problems.

The door then creaked open. "Malacai, do you need anything?"

"No, I told you just to get some rest, Nerissa. 

You should be tired, too, by now. If I need anything, I will call Mara."

"Yes, I know, but I see Mara is busy outside. 

Mom has already calmed down, and Emily doesn't remember much, so she is fine.

Emma and Reina are not here, so I think it's better for me to be by your side in case you need something."

Malacai chuckled, "Well, sit here then." He pointed to the empty area beside him.

Nerissa was now wearing a white tank top that clung tightly, accentuating her body curve. 

Her golden hair was slightly damp as it fell freely down her back.
