Chapter 41: Demon Masked Woman

A maid running past stops. "Madam, someone is attacking our mansion."

The aged woman raises her eyebrow. "Who dares to attack the Moroi family? Is it them? Those filthy beasts?"

"No, Madam, we don't know who's attacking. No one has seen her..." 

The maid's voice cuts off as she gurgles up blood, a hand piercing through her chest, creating a gaping hole. 

Her body drops, revealing a woman in black leather with a demon mask. 

Her long black hair flows down, and in her hand is the still-beating heart of the maid, which she then throws at the aged woman.

The aged woman dodges the heart without being repulsed, already accustomed to such gore.

But when she locks eyes with the woman in the demon mask, her heart shudders in fear. She takes a few steps back, recognizing the feeling.

It's the same as when she saw Alaric wives.
