Chapter 27: CHAPTER 27

 "Are you jealous?"

 Arduous leaned closer to her, Elizabeth took a step back. His eyes were looking at hers directly, it was as if it could reach until the deepest of her core. She gasped and took a step back but before she could even took another one, Arduous' hands were on her lower back.

 "Where are you going?"

 She put her hand on his chest, supposedly to stop him but it was a wrong move. His eyes blazed as she looked back at him. She wasn't planning to go anywhere though, she just wanted to put a distance between them.

 "I-I'm not jealous, I am just… asking."

 Her stuttering didn't help to convince him. Instead, he smirked and tilted his head while his hand was still on her lower back. She was trapped within him and she knew she wouldn't be able to find a way out— no, rather she couldn't find a way out because she doesn't have the courage and the enegry too.
