When Ryle did not see Daisy around in the bedroom, he stood frozen in his spot for a moment until a voice echoed in the room.
''Part legs... part legs... ahh!"
Ryle's gaze shot to the overactive male parrot who was flapping his wings and shamelessly mimicking him. His face darkened like the bottom of a pot, ''If you keep shouting these things unabashedly in front of guests and bring me shame, I'll send you for therapy somewhere.''
Without wasting further time on the bird, Ryle grabbed his T-shirt, putting it on with one hand as he rushed downstairs. He had hoped that she would still be around, sitting on the couch like she did last night or at least waiting for him so as to say goodbye before she left but by the time he walked to the living room, he found the place empty as well.
