Chapter 89: She was going to hate him

Leaving Daisy in the living room, Ryle went upstairs again. He entered the walk-in closet and ran his fingers through the rows of files that were placed in a discreet cabinet until his fingers touched a textured file. He grabbed the file and went downstairs again but his footsteps gradually slowed down when he witnessed the view in there. 

Daisy had her head placed on the arm of the couch, her legs were still hanging down with her feet on the floor but she had her eyes closed as she slept peacefully. 

Ryle walked slowly till he was right in front of her. The even rise and fall of her chest told him that she was deep asleep. 

"Daisy?" he called out to her once gently but the woman did not respond.

Ryle placed the file on the coffee table before he slid a hand around her neck, the other wrapping around waist as he picked her up in a princess carry. Daisy's eyes opened briefly.
